Road Lobsters

I have been seeing quite a few road lobsters over the last few weeks. They are getting closer and closer to our house. You might be asking what is a road lobster. That is what many from the country calls an armadillo. They have been migrating from Texas over the last thirty years.

I remember when I was in the second grade my first report was on armadillos. I remember at that time that they were only found in the west. They were known for eating ants and insects. I have seen the road lobsters slowly making their way towards Covington. I first saw them in South Georgia, and then Monticello. I have seen many on the road within a few miles from our house. I can only hope that they will not show up on our property but I'm afraid that they will be showing up any day now.
