Ticks, Ticks, Ticks

Common bullseye rash pattern associated with Lyme Disease.Image via WikipediaWe had a great Memorial Day weekend. We were able to go fishing Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Paul caught a total of seven fish and I caught three. Sunday we used the boat, the other days we went bank fishing. Unfortunately, Saturday we walked through the woods to get to a little inlet to fish. I ended up with four tick bites. They kind of look like Lyme disease. I am keeping an eye out over the next days to see if they are in fact Lyme disease.

Our cats are also dealing with ticks. Each of them have had a few ticks on their butt holes. They don't like us trying to pry them off. In fact, Leon will run once you even get close to his butt. I guess it seems that with it being wetter this year than last year them seem to be more numerous than the last few years. I hope that my redness around the bites are just an allergic reaction to the tick saliva than Lyme disease. I guess only time will tell.
