Guilty Pleasures

Everyone has a guilty pleasure. Mine is soap operas. Yes, I have to admit that I watch soap operas. I can blame my mother for this one. I remember coming home from kindergarten and watching Search for Tommorrow. In 1969/1970, we began watching All My Children. I watched that soap from 1970 until 1982 when I went to college. I also watched General Hospital from 1976.

Currently I watch two soap operas, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital. I began watching Days in college. Actually, I began watching General Hospital in 1976. (Yes, that is 32 years ago.) I was a witness to the Luke and Laura saga. In fact, in high school there was a priest who ended class fifteen minutes early for us kids to watch the wedding of Luke and Laura.

Currently, both of the soaps are rockin'. It is Februrary and that means sweeps month. I sit on the edge of my seat to see if Bo is going to make it on Days or who else will die. I read on one of the websites that they fired all of the writers a couple of weeks ago. I hope that it will not push the soap back into the bizarre. I have to admit that with new technology, I can watch the two soaps nightly in just a little over an hour. Having a DVR is great!! Oh well, I guess I need to slip back to Port Charles and watch the last episode. Share with me your guily pleasures. (With in reason, I don't want any x or R rated comments.) Thanks
