Well, I got back from Anaheim California last night around 9:00 p.m. My plane was supposed to get it in at 8:11 p.m. I will get back to that story in a minute. I now understand what my colleagues from ELI IV(Executive Leadership Institute) went through last year. With the time change and trying to be coherent when attending classes/conference.
I was amazed flying from Atlanta to California that I was able to watch T.V. Delta airlines has computers at each of the seats on their 747s. I was actually able to watch Days of Our Lives.
It was actually in real time. How weird is that?!! I never would have imagined.
The trip back to Atlanta was good to begin with. We made great time and were at the Georgia/Alabama line at 7:00 p.m. with that time we should have been there early. But alas, a big thunderstorm hit the Atlanta area. It closed down the airport for awhile. The pilot kept on coming on the PA saying that we were in a holding pattern but a decision would have to be made if we were to be diverted. I had visions that I was going to have to call Paul (who had already worked a twelve hour day) and tell him that I was in another city. The pilot kept telling us that it probably would be Knoxville. I figured that if we did go to Knoxville that I would just tell Paul that I really wanted to go to the Smokies and that this was the only way to do it.
I am very glad to be back in Covington! I know that I would never want to live in California. I'll post later about the escapades.
